The short version
Slate does not offer refunds as a rule. You can cancel any time, and you keep paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, so you are never charged again after cancelling.
Why it works this way
Free is the trial. Every paid feature has a free tier you can try first, so you know what you are getting before you pay.
Exceptions
We fix clear mistakes. If you were double-charged, charged after cancelling, or charged for the wrong plan, contact support@slateapp.co and we will make it right.
How to cancel
Open Settings, then Subscription, and cancel there. You will see the date your access continues until.
